If you’ve already experienced Niagara-on-the-Lake, this is the perfect next step.

Our Bench Tour offers a fresh take on wine country, taking you along the Niagara Escarpment to a collection of boutique wineries known for their standout wines, scenic views, and slightly more tucked-away feel.

You’ll visit 4 boutique wineries and enjoy guided tastings at each stop, with 12–16 wines throughout the day. Along the way, you’ll also enjoy a personal charcuterie plate pairing to elevate one of your tastings.

The Bench’s unique terroir brings a different expression to the wines you may already know and love — often a little more vibrant, structured, and expressive, making each tasting feel like something new.

It’s the same seamless, well-paced experience — just in a different setting, with new wineries to discover and a fresh perspective on Niagara wine country.

With everything taken care of, all you have to do is show up and enjoy something new.

This is a group tour and requires a minimum of 4 people to book.

The individual charcuterie pairing is designed to complement and elevate your wine tasting, but it is not intended as a full meal. Guests wishing to enjoy a meal should consider browsing our popular, all-inclusive Lunch or Dinner Tours.

This is a public tour, and you may be joined by other guests. Our comfortable vehicles seat 14–24 passengers. Groups of 12 or more may qualify for a private tour; however, to ensure a fully personalized experience, we recommend booking one of our dedicated Private Tours.

We finalize the exact winery lineup about two weeks before your tour to ensure the smoothest and best possible experience for your group, based on availability and overall flow of the day. Tour Breakdown

To help give you a better idea of how your day will look and help you in your planning process, here is a sample timeline of how our Bench Tour generally plays out.

10:00 am - 10:30 am

Pickup Time

Our tour guides are so excited to start the days adventure, so they want to make sure to show up on time for your group.

    They will start their pickups in Niagara Falls and then pickup anyone in St. Catharines or Jordan Station on the way to the Bench. We will reach out the evening before to coordinate your pickup time.

11:00 pm

We Arrive At The First Winery

Bring on the wine! We begin the tour visiting one of our premier winery partners to explore some of the flavours our iconic wine country is known for.

    You'll taste 3-4 different wines and learn about their unique characteristics and what went into making them. Fun will be had and then we'll head out on route to our second stop.

Second Winery Visit Begins

After a short drive, we continue our tour at another excellent winery.

    You'll learn, you'll laugh, and you'll love the individual charcuterie plate to complement your wine tastings as you begin to become a bit of a wine connoisseur with all your newfound knowledge.

Break For Lunch

Now's the time that a little food would hit the spot. We've built an hour into this tour for you to enjoy lunch at one of the winery restaurants (available upon request). You'll order à la carte from their menu, allowing you to choose exactly what suits your taste.

    Please note that lunch is not included in your tour ticket, so you'll cover the cost yourself—giving you full flexibility in your selections.

Winery #3

Next, we arrive at our third winery, thoughtfully chosen from our esteemed partnerships to perfectly complement your day's adventure.

    You'll enjoy a curated tastings in a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The selection may include standout varietals, seasonal highlights, or other special offerings—deepening your appreciation for Niagara's winemaking excellence as we approach the finale.

We Arrive At Our Last Stop

We like to finish the day on a high note — making the final winery feel every bit as memorable as the first.

    It’s a chance to settle into one more great winery, one more tasting, and one more moment that reminds you why Niagara does this so well.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When does my card get charged for the tickets?

    This is simply a request to book. Tickets will not be charged at the time of booking this request. Once approved, all Bench Tour tickets will be charge to the card on file 6 weeks prior to your scheduled tour date.

      We have a 14 day full refund policy. If you cancel within the 14 days of your scheduled tour date, we will be happy to reschedule your tour according to our availability.

  • Can I select which wineries to visit on the tour?

    Our expert tour guides select the wineries for you, based on the planned tour path and availability. Rest assured, you will visit the very best that Niagara wine country has to offer.

      We have fantastic relationships with our winery partners and they really come through for our guests and always deliver a VIP experience.

  • Can we bring a cooler with us on the bus?

    Short answer, no. The Cellar Door Experience is fun, entertaining, and classy. We are not a "booze cruise" and we like to make sure each tour goes off without a hitch.

      Plus, we've designed our tours to minimize time on the bus so you can spend more time tasting great wines with our winery partners. Trust us, there will be no shortage of food or drink!

  • What vehicle will we be taking?

    Our Bench Tours cater to groups of all sizes, offering luxurious travel for 2-4 in our premium Lexus SUV or larger groups in our 14-passenger vans or 24-passenger bus, with coach options available.

      All vehicles are meticulously maintained for a clean, comfortable experience tailored to your needs.

  • What happens if it rains?

    Rain or shine, Cellar Door Wine Experience is always an excellent time.

      Please dress comfortably and wear weather appropriate shoes.

  • What about my dietary restrictions?

    Vegetarian and Vegan options are available upon request. During the booking process, there is a section that asks you if you have any dietary restrictions. Let us know there.

      Once your booking is complete, our phones will ding and we will be notified of any special requests. We will get to work right away to make sure you have a safe & delicious tasting experience.

  • Private Tour Payment/Refund Policy?

    We require all Bench Tour Bookings to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to your scheduled tour start time. We may charge the card on file up to 6 week prior based on seasonality requirements. This is to ensure we can set things up with our winery partners in advance and with enough notice as wine country books up fast. We can work with you to make sure we collect payment at a time that is convenient for you upon request.

      All Saturday Tour Bookings are subject to a 2 week cancellation policy. There will be no refunds if you cancel within 2 weeks of your scheduled date, however, we will gladly reschedule your tour for a later date based off of our tour availability.

We’ve trimmed the unnecessary downtime so you can focus on what you came for: great wine, great food, and a seriously good time.

    We (8 of us) were picked up at our hotel and proceeded to vist 4 winerys plus lunch. We were back gy 4 PM. The tour wea a blast! Brabdo our tour guide was a cracker jack. He usually does lunch tours so i would recommend him and the lunch tour.

    I am a local of Niagara, and I am also a Travel Advisor who specializes in wine travel. When I heard about this tour that is offered of the Bench Region, I was very eager to try it out. I am always looking for great options for my clients. I was not disappointed, in fact, I was thrilled with the entire tour! Doug was our tour guide extraordinaire; he was fun, informative, and such a gentleman to our group of ladies. He made sure that we were well taken care of, labeled and carried our purchases, and made the entire day a day of laughter and good times. The wineries that we visited were beautiful, and we got to try several wines at each stop. Do not hesitate to book this tour, and make sure you ask for Doug as your tour guide.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Cellar Door Wine Experience with Dwight! We had the most incredible day on Dwight’s wine tour as part of the Cellar Door wine experience. Dwight was beyond amazing — so knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely kind. He made the whole day feel relaxed, fun, and really special. You can tell he truly loves what he does and knows the region and wines inside out. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen and we never felt rushed. At the first winery, Nathan was absolutely wonderful as well. He was so helpful, welcoming, and kind, and really made the tasting feel personal and enjoyable. From start to finish the day was seamless, fun, and full of great wine, great food, and great company. We had the best time and would recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area.     At the last moment (literally an hour before the tour) we called to see if there was a tour we could do that day. The man who answered the phone was on it and within an hour we were on the bus (that came right to our hotel) and on our way to Niagara on the Lake. Our tour guide, Karen, was exceptional! Knowledgeable, kind and funny. She provided a lot of history about the region, took pictures of the group throughout the day and did whatever she could to make the day perfect! The wineries we went to were excellent choices with very nice staff. Overall, a great experience!
